Maffew Linde exhibition
Went to an exhibition for a friend and modelled one of his furry outfits. He created an exhibition space completely out of furry pillows and balls and string for the purpose of creating a cat wonderland. There was a band singing songs about cats (a la Joy Division style) and many fantastic outfits with fake fur circles & cute toy-soldier silhouettes.
These were the most incredible shoes; another artist at the exhibition had created little boats out of high heels, with the mast where the ankle would normally go, so beautiful!
Then we left and went to another exhibition where Ellery was lost in a gigantic wall of fake cheese
And the night finished off in a tiber cube that had been constructed in a different gallery space made from stacking blocks like tetris to create a sauna/igloo/good varnish smell.
Such a fun night!

KELLOGS KREATION
Made a bodice out of Sultana Bran packets as my take on YSL and his Warhol/op-art inspired collections. I feel its appropriate today in response to the ridiculous mass consumerism and incredibad marketing that exists. That being said, we made 209% budget today at work = excellent as we get vouchers for good sales! This top was very easy to create, but would be very difficult to wear... the new definition of fast fashion?

ZIGGOMPARTYPHOTOSHOOT
Learning about 70's glam/punk rock in England and have been looking at Gary Glitter & David Bowie/Ziggy Stardust. We had to make a series of objects that hadn't a raison d'etre, and I decided to create some insane useless pieces of jewellry/body decoration. Then we had to refine our ideas further and I decided to have a little photoshoot with a friend.
So this is Tom, a 21st century Ferris Bueller, as Ziggy......ZIGGOM
Also I've been noticing on the street recently that the punk movement is coming back, I think all the loser wankers who decided to take on the horrible narcassistic boring traditional melbourne indie character have now traded thier ray-bans and skinny jeans for doc martens and ripped stockings, joy. Oh people are so boring.

Chanel Jacket
Our brief was to reinterperate Coco Chanels ideas of power and design aesthetic through an old knitted jumper. We needed to make the style our own but for the design to contain elements of classic chanel.
I have used gilt buttons, the camelia and stripes with my personal favourite- plastic! The jacket is made from an old mans knitted cardigan pulled apart, with sausage pillows for shoulder pads & a plastic table cloth inserted in stripes. The jacket is fitted to a size 8 although Ellery now wears it.
Here are some other examples from the class
And my absolute favourite; deconstructionist chanel, with sticky tape and skeleton mannequin. Genious!

Christopher Kane- Sugar to my veins
OOOOH So my friend and I were sitting in the gerber classroom finishing an assignment very late one night last week and thought it would be fun to go online shopping, and stumbled upon the Topshop website at EXACTLY THE RIGHT TIME TO MAKE MY VERY DREAMS OF ETERNITY COME TRUE.
I had heard of the Christopher Kane for Topshop collaboration a while ago and have been reading Jak & Jil and looking at their street snaps of all these incredibly stylish women wearing crocodiles & gorillas down their front.
Have been madly in love with every one of Mr Kane's collections since he graduated and I now feel like I have been uplifted into the rainbows of eternal bliss; all it took was one jersey dress.
Here is my pursuit of happiness:
XX WOW XXXXX
